From signaled audio to a measurable digital experience.
Phantone adds a recoverable acoustic token to media, detects it through participating apps, resolves the configured experience, and creates a verifiable record of qualifying impressions.
Step 1: The signal goes in before the audio ever plays.
Send us your audio — a TV spot, a radio ad, a stadium PA announcement, a podcast segment. Phantone returns the media with an imperceptible acoustic signal embedded. The signaling method is selected for the participating client and deployment environment while the downstream campaign and attribution workflow remains unchanged.

Step 2: It travels through the audio environments your campaign uses.
Signals are designed and tested for the intended playback chain, which may include streaming compression, broadcast processing, loudspeakers, room acoustics, and consumer microphones. Detection performance varies with volume, distance, background noise, device hardware, and media processing.
The PA fires at halftime. Every fan with the team app open is immediately eligible for the experience — verified by the audio they heard, not a scan or code.
The spot airs during a prime-time national broadcast. Every device with a participating app that decoded the signal is logged — timestamped, campaign-attributed, and cryptographically signed. Not panel-extrapolated.
The sponsor read plays during morning drive. Listeners with a participating app receive the offer within seconds. The network and your agency see verified counts among participating-app listeners.
The opening act walks on stage. A signal fires in the PA. Fans in the venue with the app get exclusive content. People watching the livestream with a participating app get a different offer.
Your TV spot airs. A listener's phone — running the brand or a partner app — surfaces a dealer offer for their market.
Step 3: The app detects the signal and the experience resolves.
The Phantone SDK operates inside a participating team, brand, loyalty, media, or partner app. When the app is in a supported listening state and the user has granted the required permissions, the SDK processes microphone input locally, recovers the acoustic token, and requests the configured experience. No QR scan, search, or promo-code entry is required at that moment.
Reach is limited to devices with a participating app that ships the Phantone SDK — your team app, brand app, loyalty app, or a partner app. On iOS, the platform's background audio and permission rules apply; background decoding is not guaranteed in every state. On Android, the SDK can operate more freely subject to user permissions. We scope the exact app footprint and permission surface during enterprise onboarding.
These can all fire simultaneously. Configure one or all three per campaign.
A personalized discount that only unlocks for verified listeners. Time-limited, location-aware, exclusive. No coupon code. No scanning. The audio was the key.
Step 4: Qualifying impressions, recorded as they occur.
The dashboard receives detection events as they are resolved. Repeated detections associated with the same campaign, device, and exposure window can be collapsed into one counted impression. Authorized partners can inspect campaign records, experience activity, and the evidence associated with committed impressions.
Detection is not the same as attention
Phantone establishes that a participating device detected the signaled media. It does not claim to measure human attention, comprehension, or emotional response.
The same four-step flow — embed, distribute, decode, report — works across every audio channel and every industry. The signal doesn't care how the audio gets from your source to a listener's ear. What changes is what fires on the other end.
See it in your world.
Pro Sports
A home game. Halftime. The PA plays the team's branded announcement. Every fan with the team app — or a participating partner app — gets a personalized halftime offer. Verified impressions at full-venue scale. Zero manual work.
Concerts
The headliner takes the stage. A signal fires in the PA. Fans in the venue get exclusive video content. Fans watching the livestream get a discount on merch. Different payloads, same audio chain.
TV Broadcast
A 30-second spot airs during prime time on a national broadcast. Phantone reports exactly which participating households heard the full ad — not which ones it was served to. Your agency gets the verified count in real time.
Radio
Morning drive. Your spot airs. Listeners with your brand app get an in-app offer while the spot is still playing — timed to the end of the read. No promo code. No redemption friction.
Automotive
A TV spot airs for the vehicle launch. The listener's phone shows a personalized dealer offer for their zip code — the nearest dealership, current inventory, current rate. No click required to surface it.
XR & AR
The cue plays through the PA or the stream. Every device with a participating AR app open — camera and mic already live — decodes it and fires the same effect at the same beat. No marker, no QR, no manual sync.
See it work for your use case.
Every enterprise deployment is scoped specifically to your audio chain, your existing apps, and the experiences your audience will actually respond to. The demo is a working session — not a slide deck.
